How would you like to be seen with this sparkly diamond studded iPod shuffle along with gold and diamond earphones to match? This exclusive one-of-a kind iPod Shuffle was one of the items up for bid at a charity auction in London on Saturday night.
The iPod and accompanying earphones made of 18 karat white and pink gold and encrusted with 430 diamonds is the creation of Norwegian jeweler Thomas Heyerdahl, who donated it for the Feast of Albion, a fundraising dinner to benefit the Soil Association. Estimated to be worth about $41,000 USD, there is no word on how much it actually sold for and who bought it on Saturday - We are sure it was someone famous, who paid a lot more than that!
The fund-raiser also had some other fun auction items, such as a chauffeured Jaguar XJ and VIP tickets to see Pink Floyd's (a rock band) co-founder Roger Waters perform "Dark Side of the Moon" (their most famous album), for the last time.
While Thomas Heyerdahl vows never to make another diamond-encrusted iPod because it took forever to create, he does sell the diamond studded earphones which have 118 diamonds, as part of his iDiamond series of jewels, for a mere $6,400 USD.
