This Dog Loves To Pray

We have heard about dogs talking, begging for food and all sorts of cool tricks - this however, is a first! Conan a one and a half year old Chihuahua loves to pray. Conan learnt the trick from his master Joei Yoshikuni, who is a priest at a Buddhist temple in Southern Japan.

Mr. Yoshikuni said it took the dog only a few days to learn the correct 'technique', and now he goes through the prayer routine twice a day, both in the morning and evening, before meals.

Tourists curious to see the 'praying' dog have been flocking to the temple in large numbers. Temple officials say that the attendance has gone up 30% since the news of Conan praying has leaked out.

Mr. Yoshikuni is now trying to teach Conan how to meditate. Before you start getting images of Conan in a deep trance, he simply means trying to get Conan to keep still while Mr. Yoshikuni himself meditates. We have no doubts Conan will pick it up pretty quickly! - What do you think?
