Scientists believe that this skeleton of a 47 million-year-old primate could be a clue to what our ancestors may have looked like. The fossil, which has been nicknamed Ida, is not a recent discovery, but was found 26 years ago. However, she lay with a private collector until 2006, after which she was sold to a professor at the University of Oslo's Natural History Museum.
Scientists think that she may be related to humans because her ankle talus bone is similar to that of humans. She also has toes and nails, in lieu of claws. Ida is currently being displayed at New York's Natural Museum of History.
