American school children were in for a real treat when they headed back to school after the Labor Day weekend on September 8th - a welcoming speech from the President of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama.
President Obama's speech entitled 'My Education, My Future', was delivered at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia and broadcast live all across the country. His main message to students was to take responsibility for their education, which in turn would help shape their future.
That means no excuses for not doing homework or having a bad attitude at school!

- hyper_monkeyover 11 yearsNot to rude or anything, but I don't really think that a speech is going to change the proudly stubborn minds of students, thank you very much. If you don't like school, you don't like school. You have to create you own attitude and opinions, not follow someone else's. I'm talking about life in general, not just this. Yeah, wow, okay, that was deep and philosophical. You should be proud of me.
