At first sight, Antilia, an extravagant 27-story building that cost one billion US dollars to construct, could easily be mistaken for a luxury hotel or business headquarters. However it is neither - It is merely the humble abode of India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani.

Believed to be the world's most expensive residence, Antilia's 570 ft. height encompasses about 37,000 sq.meters of living space and will require a staff of 600 people to keep it running on a day-to-day basis. To put it perspective, President Obama's current residence, The White House is 5,000 sq.meters! Wondering what all this space will contain? Here's the drill down.

Antilia's first six floors are reserved just for parking and can fit up to 160 vehicles. The seventh floor has been earmarked for car maintenance, since the Ambanis hate taking in their cars to a garage!

Then there is an entire floor that houses a home theater and the four-storeys above that is an outdoor hanging garden designed to help keep the interior cooler in summer and warmer in winter. A health club, complete with a gym, dance studio and at least one swimming pool takes up another floor.

As far as the residents, which comprise of Mr. Ambani, his wife Nita and their three children, as well as his mother - they will occupy the topmost four floors, where they will enjoy a superb view of the Arabian Sea and the city's skyline. Nine elevators will be available to take the guests and residents up and down this mega tower. Oh and one more thing - Antilia also boasts three helipads on its roof, so that Mr. Ambani's family and friends can fly in and out with ease!

While we did not make the invite list, two hundred lucky guests, including India's Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh did. They are scheduled to visit this extravaganza for a house warming party on November 28th. While India's elite may be in for a long and exhausting night, they at least won't have any problems, finding a place to park their Rolls-Royces or flying in their private jets!
