Scientists believe that the color is not a miracle of nature, but a man-made mistake - a result of the bird's tendency to dive into swamps and other mucky places. Except in this case, the stork got lucky by landing in some blue dye or paint.

However, the locals don't care - The bright blue stork been a great boon for the local businessmen, as thousands of tourists continue to flock to this normally sleepy town, to view this unusual phenomenon. We wonder if the bird will lose its color, when it rains!
