Scientists from United Kingdom's University of Nottingham's Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Center have managed to do something quite fascinating - Fit the entire Periodic Table of Elements, including all known Actinides and Lanthanides onto a professor's single strand of curly hair!

Just to give you an idea of how 'nano' it truly is, it apparently could be copied onto a small post-it note a million times, and there would still be room to spare! The best part is, they recorded the whole thing for everyone to witness.

For those of you not familiar, The Periodic Table is a tabular display of chemical elements and provides a useful way to classify, systemize and compare the many different forms of chemical interactions. First invented in 1869 by Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev to illustrate the recurring (periodic) trends in the properties of elements, the table has gone through various renditions over the years, as new elements have been discovered and new theoretical models to explain chemical behavior have been developed.
