New York's Million Dollar 'Smurf' House

While this mushroom-like structure looks like it jumped right out of smurf village, it is a real-life house in Rochester, New York. It was designed by local architect James H. John who was not inspired by the fungi it resembles, but by the stem of Queen Anne’s Lace, a wild plant related to the carrot family.

The house sits on a 1.2-acre property that includes a yard and a small flower garden. In all there are eight rooms including the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, and best of all the family room which is located below the pods and can be reached by scampering down the underground tunnels that also connects the various pods or sections of the house.

And, while the house may look like it was built sometime in the 1900's it is actually quite modern, with the latest gas fireplaces and even air conditioning. Love it? Then you are in luck, because this smurftastic house is currently on the market for a mere $1.1mm USD!

      That was cool ! I can't believe someone actually make a Smurf house ! I am going to save about all my money so I can buy it ! That thing doesn't look like it has three bedrooms and three bathrooms !

                me and my family rented it for spring break and it was soooooooooo awesommmmmeeeee. its not that big but it is beautiful inside and it has good wifi for all you electronic lovers. if u want to rent if we went to smurfhouse.com its really expensive but worth it!!!
