'Dig This' - A Real-Life Sandbox For Teens And Adults

Most young children especially boys, fantasize about ramming their way through the dirt behind the wheels of a bulldozer or other heavy equipment. But unless they end up being construction workers, very few actually fulfill that dream - Which, is exactly why New Zealand born Ed Humm decided to open 'Dig This' - America's First and only Heavy Equipment Playground.

Ed first came up with the idea about five years ago, after he operating a rented excavator to construct a home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. While his home building endeavor was not very successful, he had so much fun driving the heavy machinery that he thought others would enjoy it too - and 'Dig This', was born

After running it successfully in Steamboat Springs for three years, Ed decided to re-locate the playground to a bigger, better location where it could be enjoyed by people from all over the world - And what better place to do it then America's most popular destination - Las Vegas.

Accessible to anyone 14 and older, the newly opened five-acre adult sandbox, offers visitors many different options, the most popular of which, is the Big Dig, where they can spend up to three hours digging up or shoving around soil behind the wheels of a real-life Excavator or Bulldozer. In case they cannot decide between the two, they can indulge and pick both with the Mega Dig. For those with time-constraints there is the one and half-hour long Mini-Dig.
