While there are a lot of incredible street artists in the world, Edgar Muller takes it to a whole new level with his 3-dimensional creations that transform ordinary streets into dramatic landscapes.
Mueller's most famous street art includes 'The Crevasse' which he created in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland for the Festival of World Cultures. The 3-D image, depicting a huge fissure from the Ice Age, looked so real that people were afraid of falling into it. However, once they realized it was just a chalk painting, they had lots of fun with it, pretending to fall in!
His painting of a giant waterfall for the Prairie Art Festival on the streets of Moosejaw, Canada invoked a similar reaction, with cars swerving to avoid it.
Recently, the famous artist made headlines in London where, inspired by a recent visit to caves in China, he created a realistic-looking one, complete with natural springs and all. It took the artist and his team, seven, 15-hour days to complete the 100m Sq work of art, which he believes is his best piece ever.
However, his fans disagree, for they still think his most impressive creation is a volcano scene he painted in the German town of Geldern . He and his team worked around cars and shops to create the illusion of the earth disappearing underground, with red-hot lava flowing all around.
