This Mother's Day - Reach For The Stars!

If you are still struggling to find that perfect 'gift' to show your mother how much you appreciate the limo, 24-hour catering, five-star lodging and nurturing services that she provides with a smile, here is an idea that may bring stars to her eyes - literally.

That's because tomorrow the heavens are also doing their bit in celebrating these super, often unappreciated heroes, by putting up a spectacular show.

If mom's an early bird, set your alarms for 5.30am and lead her to any easterly facing window, where against the backdrop of the rising sun, she will be greeted by a crescent moon and a brightly twinkling Jupiter, separated by only a 5-degree arc.

However, if mom is not really in the best of moods that early, you can celebrate Mother's Day in the evening, when two other celestial objects will make their appearance to salute the special lady of your house.

Venus, the brightest of all planets and Sirius, the brightest star, will emerge just as the sun is heading down and the sky is turning a beautiful cobalt blue. While they won't be as close as Jupiter and the moon, they will be brighter, providing an excellent finale to this special day!
