Ready, Steady, Fall! Have you ever run in high heels? Think it's impossible? Don't tell that to the 500 contestants who gathered at New York's Central Park to compete in the 2nd annual High-Heel-A-Thon competition, sponsored by Live With Regis and Kelly.
The show's co-anchor, Kelly Ripa, an athlete and an avid shoe collector, was among the contestants, as was an 84-year old woman, who thought that running 150 yards with high heels (minimum 3"), might be a fun idea, especially, since it was a charity event as well.
The winner, 26-year old rugby player Ida Bernstein, literally fell across the finish line - But, what are a few bruises when you can take home a brand new 2011 Volkswagen Jetta and $10,000 USD in cash!
