17-year-old mountain biker Evan van der Spuy was zooming across the wilderness near Pietermaritzburg the capital and second largest city of Kwa-Zulu Natal, when he was suddenly knocked off his bike - By an equally fast Red Hartebeest, a species of antelope native to South Africa.

While Evan didn't even know what hit him, Travis Walker witnessed the entire scene as it unfolded and even tried to warn his fellow competitor. The best part is that he caught the whole thing on tape, thanks to a video camera that was affixed to his handlebars. Also, while both human and animal were a little dazed, neither suffered any permanent damage.

The Red Hartebeest is a large antelope, which can weigh up to 330lbs and reach speeds of around 30 miles per hour. And, while they possess an excellent sense of smell and hearing, they are known to have very poor eyesight, which explains the collision.
