With advances in technology, robots have increasingly become smarter - They help with eye surgeries, compete in triathlons and may soon even conduct space walks. However, no robot has ever attempted to start a heavy metal rock band . . . Until now!

Compressorhead, the world's first robot rock band that hails from Germany, currently has three rock 'n rollin robot members ; Stickboy, Fingers and Bones.

Bestowed with four arms, Stickboy, who was born in 2007 was a natural shoe-in to be the band's drummer. Fingers, who came next is a natural guitarist, thanks to . . . . . You guessed it - his 78 fingers! Bones, the baby who came into this world in 2012, has a natural talent for string instruments and is an amazingly precise bass player.

Though the trio will play songs by almost any rock band in the world, their favorites are hard-core metal bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Pantera.

Now that they are a 'real' band, Compressorhead has even begun touring the world. The band gave its debut performance at the recently held Big Day Out Summer Festival in Sydney where they performed alongside greats like The Killers and The Chilli Peppers - Not surprisingly, they were a huge hit! The only question is, are they are good enough to be added to your playlist?
