I read this book because my friend said that it was really good. It WAS really good, and I became absorbed in the series! I live where the story takes place . I really like this series because it is funny, serious, and tells important messages to the readers. The Taisho-era is a time after Japan decided to let in cultures from other countries including America after secluding from other countries for more than 200 years. I really recommend this book if you like adventure books and Japan!!!Over 5 years agonyajira has read this book.

This book is great! Melly had a hard time at home, because her parents are getting divorced. Even so, she has to go to Camp Rockaway, with her friend Olivia. One day, she meets Adeline. From that day, Olivia ditched her and Melly found herself spending time with Adeline. Only one week at Camp Rockaway.
